“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”
(1 Peter 5:7, NLT)
This is a reminder that you have carried enough for today.
Before you sleep, pause, wind down, and release all you are holding on to.
If you can, put your phone down about an hour before bedtime. Take a slow, deep breath. Let your shoulders relax.
You don’t have to solve tomorrow’s issues tonight.
You don’t have to keep replaying everything that happened today.
You don’t have to carry what is beyond your control.
Simply be still.
Meditate on: “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” (1st Peter5:7)
Reflect
- What am I still holding on to from today?
- What am I trying to control that I need to give to God?
Release
Take deep breaths and quietly remind yourself that:
- God is here.
- God is in control.
- You can rest.
And when you are ready, lie down, let your body become still, quiet your thoughts, and allow yourself to rest.
Have a good night.
